What are the Private Files – and how private are they?
This folder is for you to save your personal files – they may be other resources you have found, perhaps your Action Plan or your diary [if you prefer to do it online].

This section is only accessible by you – no one else can see what you put here.
Read our Privacy Policy for more information about any personal information you share with us.

How do I work through the Units?

This course is very much designed to be worked at your own pace – there is no time limit, nor how many times you stop and restart as you progress through each unit.

We suggest you fully work through one unit before beginning the next as each gradually builds on learnings from the previous one.

All you need to do is follow each step as it is set out in each Unit.  Try the Activities and read the Resources which will give you additional information and links to further activities or tips.  Even if you have finished a Unit, you can return to its Activities and Resources, or re-read the information as often as you need.

What happens when I finish the course?

Once you have completed through the course, you will be equipped with the tools to assist you with making the decision to seek work, volunteer, upgrade your qualifications or just put things ‘on hold’ for the moment.  You will uncover your skills and personal attributes to help you look for employment, either paid or volunteer, and have access to numerous resources which will guide you through the course – and beyond.

When you have worked through all three units, you will receive a Certificate of Participation to recognise the work you have done.

You can also return to the course at any time – whether this is just to review your goals after you have been working for a while, or dip into the resources and activities to refresh how you feel about your decisions.

About Using the Resources

I have downloaded one of the resources or activities which suggests adding extra rows so I can put in my own ideas.  How do I do that?
